    Let,

    The length of the rectange be ‘X’

    and the width be ‘Y’

    Area =XY

    According to question,

    Decreased length =X-4

    increased width=Y+3

    Area of the square formed= (X-4)(Y+3)

    ATQ,

    XY=(X-4)(Y+3)………..(1)

    and,x-4=y+3 ……………(2)…{as it is square}

    On solving 1 and 2 you will get,

    X=16 and Y=9

    Perimeter of the original reactangle =2(x+y)

    Or,2(16+9)=50
