    5x – 5y = 100

     x – y = 20 … (1)

    and x + y = 100 … (2)

    Solving (1) and (2), we get,

    Let the speed of A car be x km/ h

    and speed of car B be ykm/h

    According to question

    Casel

    5x-5y=100

    = 5(x-y)=100

    = x-y= 20………………..(1)

    Case II

    x+y=100………………………(2)

    Adding eq 1 and 2

    x – y = 20

    x + y = 100

    2x = 120

    x= 120/2

    x= 60

    Putting x=60 in eq 1

    x-y= 20

    60-y=20

    -y=20-60

    -y= -40

    y= 40

    So , speed of Car A is 60km/h

    Speed of Car B is 40km/h
