    x = 2

    f(x) =  {x}^{3}  +  {5x}^{2}  -  {5x}^{2}  - 5x - 18

    =  {2}^{3}  - 5 \times 2 - 18

     = 8 - 10 - 18

     =  - 20

    so it is not a factor of this….

    if Your question is {x}^{3}  +  {5x}^{2}  - 5x - 18[tex/]</h3>[tex]f(x) = {x}^{3}  +  {5x}^{2}  - 5x - 18

     =  {2}^{3}  + 5 \times  {2}^{2}  - 5 \times 2 - 18

     = 8 + 20 - 10 - 18

     = 28 - 28

     = 0

    so i think it is a factor of this one…..
