    We know that

    ATQ,

    ➝ 10x = 100

    .°. x = 10

    Therefore, sides of the triangle are

    ➝ x = 10 cm

    Hence,the longest side of the triangle is 50 cm.

    • Perimeter of triangle = 100cm
    • Side of triangle in the ratio = 4 : 5 : 1

    As we know that

    → Sum of three sides of a triangle is known as perimeter of a triangle.

    Now, let the sides of a triangle be 4x, 5x, x

    According to question

    → 4x + 5x + x = 100

    → 9x + x = 100

    → 10x = 100

    → x = 100/10

    → x = 10

    Hence,

    • Sides of a triangle
    • First side = 4x = 40cm
    • Second side = 5x = 50cm
    • Third side = x = 10cm

    Therefore,

    • Longest side of a triangle is 50cm
